Range Backpack with Yolanda

This class will be taught in 2 three hour sessions with homework. You should already be comfortable using your sewing machine. 

Purchasing this class provides you with the teaching time. You will also need to purchase the amount of fabric needed for the size of bag you wish to make from SEAMS. We require the purchase of fabric from SEAMS since the class price is entirely in support of the teacher. The SEAMS Team greatly appreciates you supporting both the teacher and the store.

This class is a bring your own machine class. If you are unfamiliar with using your machine please book an one hour "Get to Know Your Machine" one on one class by emailing events@seamsfabric.com.

There is one machine available to borrow in class if you do not have your own. Please email events@seamsfabric.com if you wish to use this machine it is first come first serve.


This class is for motivated or advanced beginners.

In this class you will learn:

• Creating zippered pockets.
• Creating adjustable straps.
• Working with a large sized project.
• Lining a large bag.

Before class:

1. Cut out all pieces and apply interfacing.
2. Optional: have back panel already quilted.

Bring to class:

1. sewing machine and bobbin
2. zipper foot
3. coordinating threads
4. pins and/or wonder clips
5. small ruler
6. scissors
7. removeable fabric marker
8. pattern
9. sew-through double sided tape
