Sack-O-Lantern bag with Amber in Kalamazoo

Join us for a night of frightful fun where we make an adorable pieced Sack 'O Lantern bag!

In this class you will learn basic piecing techniques to construct a pieced bag with a full lining and drawstring closure. Since there are no curved seams in this project, it is a great beginner level class that helps you learn the basic techniques of quilt piecing in a small project.

You will cut your fabrics at home before class, or come to one of our Friday Drop-In sessions beforehand if you need assistance with cutting.
(Friday drop ins are every week at the Kalamazoo store from 3-6pm, for a flat fee of $35).

The kit includes the pattern for this project, and Seams will provide thread, and any tools necessary to complete the bag., you will simply bring yourself, and your sewing machine! No machine? No worries! We have a fleet of classroom machines you are welcome to use, please just let us know 24 hours or more in advance if you would like to use one of our machines. NOTE: As this is a piecing project, it is helpful to have a 1/4 inch foot for your machine.
